Let's Catch Up {3rd Edition} + Weekend Buys!

Sadly, sometimes I have to play catch up with my lovely readers. Just to keep you all up-to-date on the shenanigans that's been going on.

#100happydays and I have split. It's a sad story, kind of. Not really. It's just been hard because I have been with and without a phone on and off for a few days and then I got sick {blah}. So, after missing a few days of capturing my happy moments from those days I didn't want to post late, or skip those days. However, I did notice after stopping the 'challenge' I was still noticing the small things in my day that made me happy- like getting an 'A' on my test or wearing a new, pretty, colorful, chevron print scarf, and buying myself flowers that were both pretty & cheap! So, no I haven't stopped being happy. But I am no longer participating in the #100happydays challenge.
It's bittersweet, but I do hope to pick up the challenge again and start fresh and go 100 days in a row documenting my happiness.

I have realized how much better I can make this blog..slowly but surely I hope to. Many comments from this post were unfortunately put under 'spam' and I'm seeing some a year later, but some are recent. Anyway, the comments made me realize that I should really bring that post back about how it worked out for me, the new whitening system I have tried, and comparing the two! Who's in? Because I sure am! Also those comments made me so happy, thank you for those comments, I greatly appreciate it!

Also, I was reading through comments from October Poetry Writing Month...I miss it so much :(

Super glad my mommy is back home..Please don't go on vacation like that again...if you do..take dad with you. No joke. Haha. In all seriousness though, I am glad you got a break from home and work and enjoyed your time! I love you so much!

There should seriously be a link up for what we buy over the weekend, no joke. How awesome would that be? Here are something things I received/bought over my weekend!

Finally received this in the mail!
I cannot wait to use these!

I also bought...

New York & Company had an awesome sale on jewelry this weekend! I couldn't resist! ALL necklaces $10 and all earrings were $5, but I got lucky on the ones I picked up were on sale..even more!!!
Cannot wait to style outfits around the statement necklace as well as statement earrings!
{Sorry for the yellow-ness in the photo...night pictures aren't always pretty}

...and these shoes....
I had been eyeing these for about a month and half or so...the price wasn't going any lower and I got a 25% off coupon, so I scooped the last black pair up in my size! Cute no?! These were those "staple" shoes I was looking for!

Last week was stressful with test after test + being sick. But I am so grateful with the positive things I am getting out of photography, blogging, and well...life.

Are you spending your Funday Monday gossiping and mingling?
 Because I sure am!

Sincerely,
Aishah

  1. Those shoes! And the spike necklace. Cute buys!

I should do 100 happy days. I think it's a great way to look at the small things like you said.

Thanks for linking up for MMG :)

    1. Thank you Leeann!! I couldn't resist! I knew if I waited for the shoes my size would be gone, so I thought "oh well, just buy them other wise you won't find shoes that 'live up to these' " I am quite glad I listened to myself, haha! Yepp the necklace cannot wait to style an outfit around it!

You should! I definitely am going to try it again, I am still noticing the small things that make me happy throughout the day even without the challenge- so that's always a plus!

My pleasure, thanks for hosting! Have a wonderful week!

      Sincerely,
      Aishah

  2. I was intrigued by the 100 happy days challenge when I first read about it but ultimately decided not to add another thing to my to-do list...however, I still love seeing other people's challenge images, and I'm glad it's helping you notice more little happy things (even though you're no longer "officially" participating!)

    1. Hey there! I was VERY intrigued by it.. But after doing it for a few days I sadly had to call it quits. Thank you, I greatly appreciate that! I think that's why I am not as upset I guess that I wasn't able to complete it, because I still feel as if I got something out of it.. I still am! :)

You can see me challenge photos on instagram @sincerelyaishah

Love your blog name by the way!
